Take your own money and travel outside your city. Network and meet people. This can lead to great opportunities.

Many times we think modeling is just showing up to take pictures. It is a lot more than that. You must get as much knowledge as you can. Learn to have patience and focus. Many people allow modeling to get the frustrated. It will not happen overnight. It will take some work. You are not going to get discovered today and be famous tomorrow.

This will save you time and some great pictures. Sometimes more eyes will make sure that certain things are in place to make sure you get a great picture. Just you and a photographer could create pics that you could regret. Take some other eyes.

Don't attach your press quotes unless asked. Make sure your headshot/resume is no large than 8 1/2" by 11". This will fit into a folder. If the headshot is oversized, it may end up in the trash.

First of all, decide on the type of modeling you are interested in entering into. If your preference is for glamour or swimwear, then you need focus on procuring the best photos exhibiting your talents in that line. Keep yourself well-informed about the trends of the modeling type you intend to do in the regional as well as well as international spheres. Focus on the preference of the industry and the advertisement and media in general. Align your modeling preparedness in tune with such trends. Take your own make-up to the photo shoot, even if there will be a make-up artist.

NEVER entertain the idea of anorexia or bulimia. These are also self-destructive and sadly many people have either died from engaging in these habits, or damaged their bodies beyond the point of repair. If you do that now, it is time to get help!
