They were both moved to tears when she had the first scan – and are eager to learn the sex of the child at the next one.

'I cried and James had a tear in his eye,' she said of the first scan.

'It was incredible to see the tiny hands and feet, the face and this little thing dancing away.

'We want to know who we're talking to, so we can have nice little conversations.'

The couple posed for the magazine, lazing on a bed.

Natalie showed off her tiny bump in an orange dress as she placed a loving hand on her stomach.

Jack can be seen grinning behind her.

They are now aiming to extend their home to cope with their growing family and house Natalie's shoe collection, which currently lives in the soon-to-be nursery room.

The actress said she believed her late grandfather – who died last year – is helping her through the pregnancy.

'He inspired me. If I'm feeling nervous about the baby, anxious that things will be all right, I feel him around me. It's a lovely feeling, as though I have someone watching over me,' she said.

The curse of MasterChef: Gregg Wallace splits from third wife, just two months after co-host's separation

Being host of one of TV's best-loved cookery shows doesn't appear to be a recipe for a successful marriage.

Just
two months after MasterChef host John Torode separated from his wife,
it was revealed his co-star Gregg Wallace has split from his third wife
after just 14 months of marriage.

The greengrocer turned caterer, 47, has now moved to a bachelor flat in London.

Recipe for disaster: MasterChef star Gregg Wallace at the Baftas in April with new love Heidi Brown, who he met via Twitter

His
30-year-old wife, Heidi, who is also his personal assistant, remains at
the marital home in Whitstable, Kent looking after his two teenage
children, Tom, 18, and Libby, 15.

A source told the Daily Mail: 'There is no-one else involved, it is all very amicable.'

His colleagues and friends are said to be shocked because he has publicly praised his wife for her devotion to his career.

Wallace credited her with dropping two stone by introducing him to the gym, and for helping him to care for his children.

But a friend of the TV personality said that his work schedule had caused difficulties with his wife, a former biology teacher.

The
presenter runs a catering company, Wallace & Co, and Gregg's Table,
a restaurant in London, as well as presenting MasterChef.

He met his third wife over the social
network site Twitter in 2009 when she asked if he knew he had been
labelled a 'weird crush' in a magazine.

Her
daring paid off as Wallace replied: 'Ever visit London Give me a call,
I'll buy you lunch', which was swiftly followed by a date at the TV
Baftas. Mrs Wallace, ne Brown, moved into his Kent home just four
months after their first date.

The
couple wed in a lavish ceremony in January 2011 at five-star Coworth
Park hotel in Ascot, Berkshire, selling the pictures in a 60,000 deal
to Hello! magazine.

His
friend added: 'He's been busy juggling his catering business and his
showbiz career. All these things together have taken their toll.'

In an interview published just last week, Mr Wallace gushed about his wife, saying: 'I'm so under the thumb … I love it.'

Mr
Wallace has sole custody of his children from his second marriage and
has praised his wife for the impact she has had on them. He said: 'It's
thanks to her that they're doing well at school … Heidi's the strength
behind our little family and she's brought so much happiness into all
our lives.'

Speaking
before the wedding, the future Mrs Wallace said: 'Tom and Libby already
call me their step-mum, and we're so close, but I think it will mean a
lot to them when it's all signed, sealed and proper and we all have the
same surname.'

Wallace's
spokesman said: 'Due to a number of factors Gregg and Heidi have made
the difficult and mutual decision to take some time apart. They remain
on amicable terms with only the best support for each other.'

Last night, Mrs Wallace confirmed the separation on her Twitter account.

She
wrote: 'Getting some messages already, so I can confirm Gregg and I
have separated. All amicable & still very close. He's a wonderful
man.'

In January, the Mail
told how chef Torode, 46, split up with Jessica, his wife of four years,
over Christmas. He is believed to have left their 1.2million family
home in Streatham, south-west London.

A
close friend said at the time: 'It is very sad, particularly
considering they have young children. They were such a nice couple.'

Torode
and his wife have two children together – Jonah, seven, and Lulu, five.
He also has two children – Marselle, 14, and Casper, 12 – from a
previous relationship.

JANET STREET PORTER: Sundays are special – don”t turn them into a shopathon

Sundays are special – don't turn them into a shopathon

The government plans to lift Sunday trading restrictions for eight weeks during the Olympics — when George Osborne unveils this in the Budget this week, he’ll claim it will give a much-needed boost to the economy.

When did shopping become the 11th commandment

These days, the ability to spend money where and when we want is seen as a human right.

Nation of shopaholics: But Janet thinks there are better ways to spend a Sunday (posed by model)

Shopping has become a hobby, like gardening or chess, not a means to an end, and now the Government, always keen to pander to popular taste if it doesn’t cost it anything, has taken the first step in making the modern dream of 24/7 consumerism come true.

At the moment, small shops can open all
day on Sundays if they want, but big stores are limited to six hours,
although the law has been relaxed in Scotland.

If chain stores and supermarkets in England and Wales open for longer, the losers will be the low-paid workers who stock them and serve on the tills, ordinary men and women whose kids go to school Monday to Friday.

The Tories are always bleating on about how they are the party of the family, but if they allow the Olympic experiment to be rolled out permanently, they are anything but. Sunday must be kept special — not for religious, but family reasons.
